A technician with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in preparing 3D Auto CAD drawings for streets and municipal services, as well as building servicing and site grading plans is required as part of an expanding land development group. This position will offer the right individual an opportunity to develop their career by applying their skills over a wide variety of projects within a supportive team atmosphere.

The ideal candidate needs to be organized and proficient in both Autodesk®’s AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS software. Producing quality engineering drawings is a key part of this position. As such, we are looking for an individual who is and meticulous in their work.

• Successful completion of post secondary education in a related discipline;

Specific Duties

• Production of preliminary and detailed design drawings;
• Working under the guidance  to develop design skills and ensure design quality standards are met;
• Coordinating preparation of and the pulling together of the full drawing set amongst the various engineering disciplines both in-house and from external sub consultants including mitigating design conflicts and ensuring the entire drawing set looks the same;
• Collaborating with and contributing to multi-office design teams to ensure project delivery successfully meets the needs of clients;
• Provide engineering support to multi-discipline project teams as needed; and
• Other duties as assigned.

Area of Work Experience

• Minimum three (3) years of experience with AutoCAD in a mapping and plan environment;
• Civil 3D experience;
• ArcGIS experience;
• Google Earth experience is an asset along with working with mapping, multiple data sets and aerial photography;
• GPS experience; and
• Microsoft Office 365.
